Southern Palms Beach Hotel
Southern Palms Beach Resort is located on the sandy shores of the Indian Ocean south of Mombasa, at Diani Beach. This beach resort has a unique blend of traditional Swahili and arabic arcitecture with its rooms overlooking the two large free form swimming pools.
Set in some five hectares of tropical garden, the resort gives a feeling of space and peace. Water aerobics, volleyball on the beach and petanque are some of the many activities available while the more adventurous can prepare for a dive or windsurf in the torquise waters or sport fish on the high sea.
With 300 double rooms and two deluxe suites, it's a unique blend of Swahili and Arabian architecture. Rooms have Swahili style décor and balconies face the sea with airconditioning & mosquito nets. The hotel's two swimming pools are among the largest in East Africa.
The main restaurant features a different "theme" every night. The "Manyatta" gives one the privilege to eat "by the pool", specialising in meat, fish and seafood grilled on a roaring charcoal fire.
The Boriti Snack Bar (A la Carte Restaurant), open during the day, that offers a variety of light lunches and local specialities with a fast and efficient service. La Via Romana, the Italian Restaurant, open for Dinner only, will take care of this special evening where eating under the canopy of the stars is the order of the day.
